I have written so much on self-care but it all comes back to one simple thing for me. Make sure you take a few minutes for yourself every single day. Not only because you deserve it, but because we need to make sure our needs are being met. When you allow yourself to be last on the list, you get run down, and other things get pushed aside. If you make yourself a priority then you will find that you can make it through the day with more energy.
In order for me to be the best mom I can be, I need no less than 5 minutes a day for my own sanity. I have a list of ways to get in some self-care, as well as some tips for fitting in your own care when your schedule gets busy.

Self-care was a huge issue for me when I started working from home. I felt really overwhelmed by everything that had to get done in my business that I rarely left my desk. When my left hip started to bother me, I decided I had to prioritize self-care over working because at the end of the day… what good is my business if I’m unhealthy? Since I’m a very scheduled person, I decided to join a local transformation center that focuses on HIIT workouts. I can plan my week in the app and schedule my appointments. I love that I can plan it in my work day and know exactly how much time I need to plan for each week. Like everything else we do in life, self-care is something you need to prioritize or there will be a million reasons why you can’t do it. One of the surprising benefits I’ve found to making time for my workouts is mental clarity. I work about 5 hours less a week now but I feel like I am equally (if not more) productive.
Jacinta – Snuggles and Kisses
Self-care is a topic very close to my heart I take the time to read every night as part of my me-time. Usually, I put on my face mask and enjoy the quiet reading 😂 even if it’s just 10-15 minutes, it’s soul-nourishing.
Tips would be to make it something so simple that you can do on a consistent/regular basis. Buying flowers when I grocery shop is another self-care for me it’s not that expensive, and they’re so pretty to look at.

I’ve noticed a big difference in my attitude and ability to handle stress when I take time for me, even if it’s only a few days out of the week. Here’s a post I wrote with some ideas.

Oh, self-care. Not easy to find a time always. Working a part time + having a blog seems to me a full-time job. Not to mention I have 2 active boys one is 4 yrs and the little one just turned to 1. I started noticing my mood changes. I was so tired and burned out. Then I start thinking to find a way to distress myself. Going to the gym or spa no-no for me because of time. So I decided to use bubble bath. Now, whenever I fell like I am gonna burst like a bomb I run to the bathroom and take my favorite rose and lavender bath bomb and straight into the bath tube. 30 min taking a bath is enough for me. I do it 1-2 x a week.
Self-care is huge for me! I work on it every day!

When I returned to work I found it really hard to even think about self-care… between running a family home and being a good employee and Mum and Wife! I’m on a mission now to find ways to carve out time and share it with other busy Mums.

I had to seek out shorter but effective workouts that I do as soon as I get home to relieve stress from work and energize me for the night with the kids. This is really the only constant self-care I get but also thinking about blocking out Sunday mornings for me and planning
