Simple Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad
Ahhhh! It’s finally getting warm! That means it’s time to break out all of our summertime favorite recipes and get to grilling…. more. We are the people shoveling snow to get to the grill so we can cook dinner on it in January. Now, we can sit outside and enjoy the weather as we grill, and all I want is smoked & grilled foods! Especially since we got a new Pit Boss Pellet Grill (affiliate link- see below) to play with. One of the very first recipes we break out every year is my Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad.

This pasta salad came from a need to stop buying Suddenly Salad mixes and just make it ourselves instead. We were constantly buying the ranch one, and one day I noticed the packets of ranch dip mix in the store, that’s when it dawned on me how easily I could make the salad.
I have made this salad using whatever I have on hand. Any small to medium pasta works great, Shells and Radiatore are my favorites to use. I used the radiatore this time. I also use whatever cheese I have on hand, whether it’s an Italian Blend, Cheddar, or Colby Jack. I also have added different vegetables depending on what I have on hand.
Depending on what type of pasta you use, you may need to add another tablespoon or so of miracle whip to give it more creaminess. I also do not include any extra salt in this recipe. I found that there is enough salt between the ranch packet, bacon, and pasta water being heavily salted.
I hope you enjoy. What is your favorite pasta salad?
